Everyone is looking getting the edge, especially in cycling. Cyclists are one of the hardest training people out there. The amount of time these people dedicate to the sport is staggering. It only makes sense that they are looking for the best energy drink for cycling.After doing some research it was clear to me that most energy drinks out will not help cyclist, in fact they will most likely hinder them.
Most energy drinks are high in sugar and other stimulates to give you the illusion of energy, but these products do not actually produce energy. And even if you get a initial boost you will most likely crash if you are on a long ride.
Another issue is the accelerated heart rate. Because of the high levels of caffeine and other stimulates this can raise your heart rate. The higher heart rate the harder your body is working. The harder your body is working the less you are going to be able to put into your cycling.
For 99% of the products out there I do not recommend having an energy drink. Although, there is one energy drink that I recommend for cycling.
